Mbali Prudence Ndlovu of Mpumalanga Town Ship has been bedbound for seven years after being diagnosed with TB of the Spine in 2008.
Icebolethu management lead by Managing Director Nomfundo Mcoyi visited the Ndlovu family together with Bishop Graham Sabela from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Pinetown ward to assess Mbali’s situation. It was then decided to provide the Ndlovu family with groceries and in conjunction with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints who donated the wheelchair through it humanitarian department.
Icebolethu is very involved in communities and works closely with local leaders in providing assistance where it is most needed. We joined with Scribante Labour Consultants in providing Seven learner’s who did exceptionally well in their matric with University registration fees.
Our corporate social responsibility initiative is about changing lives of ordinary people and making a different in communities. We are hoping that our efforts will empower our community and make changes that will affect families and community positively.
Nomfundo Mcoyi expressed her gratitude to the staff for identifying opportunities for the company to assist the community. She was particularly thankful that Mbali and seven students lives have been impacted positively.
